Composition of Pevisone:
Treatment of inflamed fungal infections of the skin.
When should Pevisone not be used?
Do not use if you are hypersensitive to one of Its ingredients.
Pevisone should not be used without consulting your physician prior to commencing treatment:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
If you suffer from tuberculosis of the skin, herpes simplex, viral or bacterial infections of the skin on the treated areas.
If you are sensitive to any type of food or medicine, consult your doctor prior to commencing treatment.
Avoid contact of Pevisone with the eyes.
During prolonged treatment on extensive areas, there is increased risk of systemic steroid absorption and therefore, the patient must be under strict medical supervision.
Do not bandage the treated area.
If you are taking another medicine, or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, you must consult your doctor to avoid risks or Inefficacy arising from drug interactions.
Side Effects of Pevisone:
In addition to the desired effects of the drug, some side effects may appear during treatment with Pevisone, such as: burning, itching.
Side Effects of Pevisone which demand special attention:
Severe local irritation, worsening of inflammation or rash (rare): discontinue treatment and contact your doctor Immediately!
If you notice side effects not mentioned in this leaflet or If there has been any change in your general health, consult your doctor immediately.
Pevisone dosage according to the doctor s instructions only
Recommended Dosage - unless otherwise specified by the doctor:
After cleaning and thoroughly drying, apply the preparation to the affected skin area while rubbing in gently, in the morning and in the evening. There is an option of one more application during the day.
If there is no improvement in the condition within 14 days, consult your doctor.
Pevisone is for external use only.
How can you help make the Pevisone treatment successful?
Even if your condition has improved do not discontinue treatment with Pevisone without consulting your doctor.
Pevisone and any other medicine must be kept in a closed place out of the reach of children and/or infants to avoid poisoning. If you took an overdose, or by mistake a child swallowed Pevisone, go to the emergency room of the hospital immediately and take the package of medicine with you.
Do not induce vomiting unless clearly indicated by the doctor!
Pevisone has been indicated for the Pevisone treatment of your disease; in another patient, it may cause harm.
Do not give Pevisone to relatives, neighbours or acquaintances.
Medicines should not be taken in the dark! Check the label and the dose every time you take Pevisone. Wear glasses if you need them.
Storage of Pevisone: At temperature 15-30°C.
Even if stored according to their recommended instructions, medicines have a limited life. Pay attention to the expiry date of Pevisone! If in doubt, you must consult your dispensing pharmacist. Different medicines should not be stored in the same container.
